So on Saturday, slightly bleery eyed from Friday night and exhausted from Saturday morning's netball Extravaganza, I stop at Nicky's on route to Dolores Park to savour the Cinco de Mayo celebrations. I find 3 identical blond beauties snoozing in her flat. Yet again Nicky won the popularity contest and had the lovely Lucy and Sophie out for a visit.

I ditch my more cultural plans in favour of a BBQ in Oakland - thinking this could be a potential friends hotbed - and decide to be the fourth blond in the group.

Jet lag got the better of the poor things so we filed out shortly after we had filed in - to some amusement I fear!.

Plans for Sunday had been less than ambitious but from no where emerged this wonderful day of beach BBQs, cruising through Marin County and dinner at the Pelican Inn - thank you Peter!
